satyam is the company that offers job to the needy people who can’t/couldn’t secure a job anywhere else. it has been a god to many and some real bastards like me who wree sure not to secure a job anywhere ele in the world, at least not in the IT sector. May God take care of
    satyam. Hey! I am coming.

I agree to the points mentioned above. I just quit this company few months back and I have not yet received my final settlement papers or releiving letter. Managers are all old babus who manipulate any process to put you in trouble.

Do you have any other job offer? Will you be able to get another job? If the answer is ‘No’, then u can join Satyam.
The facts you must know before joining the company are
    1. If you are fresher, you have to sign a contract for 2 years
    2. During this initial two years bond period, do not expect any salary hike(applicable for everyone in bond)
    3.Do not expect any allowance.
(for experienced people also… read below)
4.You may see announcement of 18-20% salary hike for all employees every year after the Q4 are published in newspapers, ET etc. But do not expect that to happen.
5.You may have associates having less than 2 years of total IT experience as your Reporting Manager in the employee Db who approves your leave and time sheet(Every Satyamite is a leader… Strange Satyam way of doing things)
6.During appraisal discussion you will be promised a better hike for the coming year. Forget it just after hearing.
7.** Enquire about the good units of Satyam n try to get into one(Else soon you will find your self in the height of frustration and depression).
    8. If you do not like a person, you can refer him/her to Satyam
    9. If you are required to work late night or extend your working hours, do not expect a cab from Satyam to drop you safely at home. Else fight, attend hours long conference calls to get the cab approval (by this time your project deadline might be crossed)
10.If you get onsite opportunity, you have to sign another bond
    11. The company does not have any well-defined policies. Your manager will be the person interpreting the vague and fragile policies.

Do not expect a professional exit interview while quitting (u will definitely)

Advantage: When you become an employer or manager… you must know very well, what you should not do if want to be good employer

Hi, i am a brazilian student just finished school and have the opportunity to join satyam for a year. I want to know if they would ask me to stay longer and to end the contract after 2 years as some of you say. How do they treat employees and how strict are they? Do they pay on time? I appreciate your help!

Me planning to join satyam as they have offered onsite. I am a guy with 3 + exp. I want to know if they do a bond for employees who go abroad. If so is it legally valid or is it ok to break it ..?

Satyam is now into business of exploiting people. New joinees have a bond which one sided and is for 2 years. If you break the bond u have to bay 2 lakhs + salary taken till now + 5000 per month for training + etc, etc.
If you are under the bond, u will be paid peanuts, the hike will be around 10-15% after 2 years.
That is the main reason the attrition rate is so high for people between 2-3 exp. They quit as soon as they complete the bond.

Satyam is not a company to work for. Similar is case for L&T Infotech. Appraisals are formalities, variable pay is paid 50% without any reason. These places are good if you are not getting jobs anywhere else.

Management at Satyam is not proper, they are clearly following the employee retention policy…..till you are in a bond period….you would be treated like labour…..! Favourism, partiality…it is the culture here………!

Appraisals at Satyam are a 5 point rating..That is not SMART but FAKES…..estimate the full-forms yourself…Well a pretty hillarious incident..Once i caught an HR himself calling up a company for a job..He was supposed to control attrition rate :).

I will perfectly agree to teh fact that appraisals in Satyam are normally pending for longer periods and that the company has more of a babu culture than a professional approach

Satyam did not hike salary’s . It was the part of annual process only. If some one tells that the satyam had hiked salaries three times in a year.. it will be big joke only..
