We started Rightrix Solutions in 2003 as a software development firm. While we went about building software, we consistently kept feeling a dearth of world-class, vendor-neutral content in India. India either had marketing road shows or we were exclusively dependent on technology content from the west.
We launched IndicThreads.com in 2004 and held the first IndicThreads conference in 2006 (10 years ago!). We had no experience at technology events back then, but the thought of not being able to pull it off did not cross our minds. What we lacked in our systems, we perhaps made up for with enthusiasm. And what a success it was! So many companies put their faith and money on us. As did so many techies from all over India. Many of them are still journeying with us! That, more than anything, gave us the faith that the conferences were a value-add to the people in the IT industry.
Also, in the initial years, we were not sure of how many home-grown speakers we would have. But, after all these years, we are proud to know of so many passionate speakers here, doing great work and brimming with sparkling ideas. We are happy to have played a part in their success!
The IndicThreads conferences have always looked to provide a welcoming, open platform for learning, discussions and at times just to feel and absorb the buzz around cutting-edge technology.
Over a thousand developers have been a part of IndicThreads’ Conferences and while we don’t claim to have addressed the issue that led to the birth of IndicThreads, we sure have tried to deliver technology-focused, professional content and conferences in India.
2016 Pune is the 10th year and the 18th IndicThreads Conference!
We hope that you would be a part of it.
