Hackathon On Google Technologies (OpenSocial & GWT) @ IndicThreads Conference On Java, India
The 3rd IndicThreads.com Conference On Java Technology will be held at the Hotel Sun n Sand in Pune, India on 5-27 Nov 2008. In a novel initiative, the conference this year includes a code lab on Google technologies, known in geek terminology as a Hackathon. The Hackathon includes sessions on Google technologies like Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and OpenSocial. These sessions would be followed by a dedicated code lab session where delegates can try out the latest developments with Google technologies like Google Web Toolkit and OpenSocial under the guidance of the expert speakers and Google engineers.
OpenSocial defines a common interface for developing social applications. Popular social networking websites like LinkedIn, Orkut, Myspace, Friendster, hi5, Plaxo and many others already implement OpenSocial. Google Web Toolkit (GWT) helps build and maintain rich internet applications using the Java programming language.
