Sun Java Studio Creator available for free
A promo for the Sun’s Java Studio Creator IDE is currently featured on the NetBeans site. NetBeans users can now download Sun’s Java Studio Creator IDE for free (regularly $99).
The Sun Java Studio Creator download process nowhere asks for any NetBeans specific info, so it isn’t clear why the NetBeans site says that the download is for NetBeans users only.
Strangely, the Sun Java Studio Creator (SJSC) site is still carrying ads that state $99 as the cost for SJSC. One wonders why anyone would buy SJSC when it’s available for free in this promo. We haven’t as yet read the fine print in the promo and we will update this item as soon as we have some clue. If you have already figured it out please add a comment.
For those who are new to Sun Java Studio Creator, Sun says that “Sun Java Studio Creator is an easy-to-use visual integrated development environment (IDE) for serious web development on the Java platform. Build applications visually, with minimal code creation, using its drag-and-drop components (EJBs and web services, too), automatic page navigation, and other convenient features.”

Hi everybody,
I downloaded and installed the holy free version but it seems that you cannot create anything since the New project button is disabled. Moreover no JSF elements available in the palette.
Can anyone help ?
